Welcome to Southwest Pool Leagues
Where did the Southwest Pool League Come From?
The basic design of the Southwest Pool League originated in Las Vegas about 50 years ago in 1974 is still running today.
It was and is still named Southern Nevada 9 Ball. In 2007 I started a small league that was roughly patterned
after Southern Nevada 9 Ball. The small tweaks I made were accepted by the players and contrary to most people's
beliefs we grew. In 2016 I merged my league with Southern Nevada 9 Ball. The league that was formed ran until
May 2024 and then was sold. I moved back to Texas and retired. I have come to miss running and being around
a league and its players, so I have decided to do it again. I am NOT interested in having a league that is more than
2 or 3 nights a week with 1 8 or 10 team division each night. I have done the 100 - 200 team league and
I'm NOT interested that again. I am also NOT interested in replacing anything or anyone here in Dallas, just offering a much-needed alternative. There are many differences between us and most other leagues, the format, the player awards, the league's continuity and ease of play.
On the home plage there is a file that explains the league in more detail and I available to answer questions you may have.
The Southwest Pool League was designed by players for players. It is extremely player friendly and fair.
